FLORIDA LOTTERY PLAYER WINS HALF A MILLION
DOLLARS PLAYING HOLIDAY GIFTS SCRATCH-OFF GAME
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that Luz Barocio, 55, of Lehigh Acres, claimed a $500,000 top prize in the $500,000 HOLIDAY GIFTS Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. She purchased her winning ticket from Racetrac, located at 5570 Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.
The $5 Scratch-Off game, $500,000 HOLIDAY GIFTS, launched on October 27, and offers more than $42.3 million in cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-4.00.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, comprising approximately 67 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $632 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2014-15.
