ORLANDO MAN GETS $2,000,000 CHRISTMAS PRESENT
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that Jason Wagner, 39, of Orlando, claimed a top prize in the $2,000,000 HOLIDAY MILLIONS Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Wagner chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,600,000.00. The winning ticket was purchased from Publix, located at 2655 Northeast 35th Street in Ocala.
Wagner received the ticket as a Christmas presents from his sister. "She knows that my wife and I enjoy buying Scratch-Off tickets, and she thought that this was the perfect present for us." said Wagner.
The $10 Scratch-Off game, $500,000 HOLIDAY MILLIONS, launched in October, and gives players the chance to win more than $48 million in prizes, including two top prizes of $2,000,000! The game?s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.41.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, comprising approximately 65 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $734 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2015-16.
