KISSIMMEE MAN WINS TOP PRIZE PLAYING
$600,000,000 GOLD RUSH SCRATCH-OFF GAME
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that Donald Williams, 56, of Kissimmee, claimed a $3 million top prize in the $600,000,000 GOLD RUSH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Williams chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,227,988.72. He purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 3839 Pleasant Hill Road in Kissimmee. The retailer will receive a $6,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $20 Scratch-Off game, $600,000,000 GOLD RUSH launched in September 2014. The overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.95.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, comprising approximately 68 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $784 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2016-17.
